I spent many years trying to be perfect. Perfectionism is was a noose around my neck and a waste of energy I could have well spent elsewhere.

Fortunately, with hard work I am free from it and that’s good feeling. I accept that I need “ray of sunlight” now :)

Wonderful verse here, Francina. I have read many poems about diamonds, but none that addressed the necessary rays of sunlight so exactly, so perfectly, as the necessary partner with the diamond for true inner beauty.
