At night, out on the deck
beneath a moonless sky,
surrounded by the emptiness
of this purest shade of black,
where in shadows do not exist.
Just I,
and the sound of water
within the deep of darkness

It is so dark that even shadows don’t exist…Hmmmm…that is absolute – peace, calm, void…Hmmmm. Makes one think.

Thank you again, Eric
To be at midnight on a boat in the middle of a languished sea is indeed very peaceful and it’s very dark around you.
I’m happy my poem made you think and it sure would be nice to know what the outcome of your thoughts might be .
Ciao, Francina
